Aspirations Academies Trust has been improving under-performing schools and developing innovative schools since 2011. The Trust’s mission is to deliver authentic education for children from the age of 4 to 19. In 2021, Retinue Solutions were selected to partner with the Trust to provide consultancy support in attracting and hiring fixed-term employees across 16 schools.

Solutions
Retinue assigned a dedicated team of consultants supported by a highly experienced team of recruitment professionals to provide a consultative approach in reviewing and optimizing the Trusts hiring process with an aim to reduce the time to hire & streamline the hiring process.
Our team provided full frontend support by engaging candidates and providing a high touch candidate experience, sharing details of roles and institutions as well as support throughout the hiring process.
Our teams created detailed adverts for each vacancy/job posting and used targeted attraction strategies to ensure suitable candidates were applying and screened.
Our marketing experts increased the number of advertising channels through online job boards and used more targeted language to create job adverts aimed at specific skillsets within specific regional areas.
Data was extracted from feedback surveys and exit interviews to identify triggers and pain points that directly impacted the hiring process and retention rates. An improvement plan was drawn up and agreed to address each point to deliver continuous improvement.
Results
- Improved candidate quality resulted in increased job offers (1 in every 2 candidates shortlisted are powered)
- 150 suitable candidates have been successfully placed in the last 12 months
- The time to hire has been reduced to 23 days
- Cost per hire has dramatically reduced to £333 per hire
- The data presented supported Aspirations to decide to switch ATS providers, resulting in further improvements to candidate attraction and process speed
"We are a 16 school MAT, consisting of 8 secondary schools and 8 primaries.
